Why advocacy is important

Advocacy helps inform the general public about specific illnesses or conditions affecting these children, how support can be provided, and overall brings attention to issues to protect their rights. National days and months are perfect times to advocate for the children, as oftentimes, people do not know that it is a nationally recognized observance for a specific condition, or maybe have never even heard of the condition before. Through educating, real impact can be made, and action can be taken towards certain missions such as implementing more programs or funding more research for a condition.

Toolkits

We provide individuals, organizations, and student organizations with toolkits to start a chapter of Children of Lumina Foundation or to simply raise awareness on our mission and ways to help children impacted by their situations. This toolkit includes a letter from the founder, brochures, info cards, photos from events, flyers, and small candies to start your advocacy mission!
