Mission:

Children of Lumina Foundation is a nonprofit organization serving the Central Florida area. We aim to bring out the inner light in every child through the service, giving and kindness of our community. We partner with other nonprofits, shelters, schools, hospitals and more to provide children with special physical, mental or emotional needs with opportunities to partake in fun activities or receive small gifts at no cost. Additionally, we advocate for children living in low-income areas and those facing illnesses in order to raise awareness and promote social change to improve their quality of life. How we do it

Advocacy

We take part in advocating for children facing situations of lower income and medical needs around the Central Florida area and provide toolkits to those groups or individuals wanting to take action with us.

Volunteers

We appreciate your time and help with crafts, drives, handout tables, and volunteer events, either with us or at other facilities in need. All group events will be updated on the link on our volunteer opportunities page; sign-up is required to attend.

Donations

We have several options for donation contributions, from sponsoring a gift for a child, our Amazon wish list, and our GoFundMe page. A little goes a long way!

Partners

We collaborate with institutions in need of additional volunteers and donations. We raise awareness of their purpose along with ours and establish long-lasting efforts to help maximize our community outreach.

Why we do it

Millions of children in the US live in poverty or have a form of special need. These children typically face life-altering social prejudices on top of the challenges they already endure due to misinformation and social expectations. At Children of Lumina Foundation, we believe that every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and a sense of belonging within the community, regardless of their circumstances. For this reason, we strive for long-term societal change through advocacy, community support, and giving back to these children to bring a little light into their lives while allowing them to shine from within.
